Once in a while on the collector forums, a question is posed: is there anyone in the collector community who has never, ever, owned a Rolex?

As a general rule, respondents to these queries tend to express disbelief that such a creature could possibly exist given the quality and ubiquity of the perfect Rolex replica watches.

Well, folks, I’m here to tell you that such people do exist and that I’m one of them. And to be honest, when I suggested this article topic to Elizabeth, one reason that I did so was that I was pretty mystified about it myself: how could it be?

How it (didn’t) happen

In the beginning: The simplest explanations for why I didn’t start early with luxury UK Rolex fake watches are simple: money and time. The first time I encountered the brand was during the Lucerne stop of a hard-earned student trip (more on this in an upcoming article).

I had $45 in spending money. One of my roommates had several hundred bucks that he promptly spent on what he described as, “The watch my Dad says is the best in the world.”

For me, it was too soon and too much. And even then, my spidey-sense suggested to me that my friend’s Dad’s absolute certainty and his son’s resulting zeal might possibly be misplaced.

Other gateway drugs: Fast forward about six years of schooling, 15 years of 80-hour workweeks, and an increasing fascination with timekeeping. When I did turn to top replica Rolex watches in a serious way, my attention was drawn to other brands.

Reverse snobbery: For a while, I had a pretty active disdain for Rolex, for what I now realize were three main reasons.

First, whether it’s 1:1 Rolex copy watches, cars, or consumer electronics, I have a low tolerance for fan boys, those uncritical sorts who believe that every single feature of their favored brand is the best and also feel that is critical that you believe it, too.

For instance, at this point I’ve read way too many online threads in which Rolex’ use of 904L stainless steel is put forward as proof of the pitiful weakness of all other brands. What I came to believe was that any brand that needed such unthinking support might not be worthy of mine.

The second reason was that I thought I had found “better” solutions than Rolex for my needs; for example, my Vacheron Constantin Overseas in the sports watch category.

Whether it was the Overseas or other watches like the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms with its wonderful and robust X-71 bracelet, I really didn’t see Swiss movements Rolex replica watches as world-beaters in their categories.

Finally, there’s the position of Rolex as one of the world’s leading, if not the leading, mass luxury brand. If you know me, you know that I’m not innately drawn to “mass” anything, even in luxury categories; part of the appeal for me is being a bit off the beaten path.

That whole vintage thing: For the record, I loved Paul Newman. Great actor, great race driver, great (it is reported) husband, great actor. Man’s man, philanthropist.

And, of course, wearer of Rolex, including what is popularly called the “Paul Newman” Daytona.

Back to that “too soon, too much” thing: when I first became aware of the high quality fake Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman” watches, the prices seemed way too dear for my wallet; now that the prices have gone through the roof, it’s now “too late, too much” for me.

In addition, the whole world of vintage Rolex seems to me fraught with peril. With the expert counsel of someone like my friend and Rolex maven Eric Ku, I could knock out the concerns about provenance and authenticity for any given watch; but I’m still not confident that the white-hot market for these desirable vintage pieces won’t crater sometime soon.

And, Rolex isn’t exactly helping with its reluctance (and in some cases reported refusal) to service Swiss made fake Rolex watches more than 25 to 30 years of age.

Changing lifestyle: Finances permitting, I’ll be slowing down from my fanatical work pace a few years hence. And, as I’ve lived in California for 18 years now, I’m finally starting to discover the joys of casual dress. It seems only natural that adding high-quality sports fake Rolex watches for sale to the mix will be a natural consequence.

Solid product: Say what you like about Rolex, but at the end of the day its products speak for themselves in terms of robustness and excellent timekeeping, both attributes that are important to me.

From personal experience, I can say that the Jubilee and Oyster bracelets on my wife’s Rolexes are nothing to write home about. In recent years, Rolex seems to have stepped up its game.

When writer, director, and adventurer James Cameron reached the beginning of the “deep sea” at a depth of 1,000 meters on March 26, 2012, safely inside his submersible craft Deepsea Challenger, all the remaining light disappeared. But at that point, he hadn’t yet completed one-tenth of his journey. At 10,908 meters, he landed softly on the floor of the Challenger Deep, the deepest point in the ocean, at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Before the hydraulic arm on the submersible malfunctioned, he was able to collect a sample from the bottom of the sea. The Deepsea lettering on the dial is the same green color as the paint on Cameron’s submersible. Into the Depths

High Pressure

Producing an extremely pressure-resistant watch is actually not extremely difficult. The thickness of the case walls and the external dimensions can be increased to the point where a watch can be made with very high water resistance. They found success using a diameter of 44 mm and a thickness of 18 mm, which is also very comfortable to wear.

This required a completely new redesign of the case structure – resulting in the Rolex-developed and patented “Ringlock System.” The system consists of three elements that absorb pressure: the 5.5-mm-thick sapphire crystal, the 3.28-mm-thick caseback made of Grade 5 titanium and the inner ring of Biodur 108 steel. The system is surrounded by a 904L steel Rolex case. The titanium caseback is not screwed down but is pressed onto the inner ring by a threaded ring made of the same steel as the case.

The materials are carefully selected for their extreme sturdiness and resilience so that they do not become distorted or break under pressure. Biodur 108 is approximately three times more tension proof than the steel used for the case, and Grade 5 titanium – a titanium alloy with vanadium and aluminum – is four times as strong. This complicated construction allows a case to be made that is more than 10 percent thinner than a conventional one. The design – with the “Mercedes” hand for the hours, the round hour markers, the bar markers at 6 and 9 o’clock and the triangle at 12 o’clock – basically comes from the first Submariner. Rolex has maintained continuity for over 60 years. What could possibly be improved in terms of functional or aesthetic design?

The luminous material on the hands, markers and zero marker on the bezel have a blue glow. The advantage for divers is that water absorbs long-wave light better than short-wave light, so blue light is the easiest to see underwater. The 2023 Rolex Deepsea replica watches has a timeless look, despite its historical dial design. This is due to its contemporary size, domed crystal, high-tech bezel and visible inner ring of the Ringlock System. The iconic Rolex text on the dial remains a matter of taste. The Deepsea D-Blue dial is wordier than ever. There are five lines of text just on the lower half of the dial, plus the information on the inner ring. But this doesn’t impact the successful evolution of this design.

New Caliber

As with the design, little improvement needed to be made to the movement, but Rolex did a basic reworking of the caliber that was already known for its sturdiness and accuracy, Caliber 3135. Caliber 3235 replaces the 3135. In 2015, Rolex began introducing the new generation of calibers in its updated models. Among its steel Rolex fake watches for men, it has been placed in the new Sea-Dweller and in the new GMT-Master II with the blue-red bezel, in addition to the Datejust. With Caliber 3235, only 10 percent of the components of the 3135 remained unchanged. Overall, Rolex has received a total of 14 patents for this caliber.

How does this benefit the wearer? Resistance to impacts and reliability are increased. The winding mechanism is more efficient and builds up its power reserve more quickly, primarily due to the new ball-bearing oscillator. Most of all, the maximum power reserve has increased from the standard 48 hours to 70 hours. Rolex has achieved this through the use of a thinner barrel wall, which permits the use of a longer mainspring, as well as with its innovative Chronergy escapement, which increases the efficiency of the Swiss lever escapement by 15 percent. This is made possible by modified geometry and a skeletonized shape that reduces its weight. The light-weight escapement is also notable for its much quieter ticking sound.

The nickel-phosphorus alloy escape wheel is produced using the LIGA process (the German acronym for lithography, electroplating, and molding) and has no reaction to magnetic fields. The new balance staff also improves magnetic field protection. The blue Parachrom hairspring made from a niobium-zirconium alloy is already familiar from other models, as is the Paraflex shock absorber. The end shake of the balance can be adjusted with one screw instead of two. And the overcoil ensures concentric breathing of the hairspring, as does the free-sprung oscillator with Microstella screws.

Although the new caliber works beneath a solid steel caseback, like all Oyster models, it is decorated – with a sunburst finish on the partially skeletonized oscillator, and on the automatic bridge, matte line finishes on steel components, along with some beveled edges and polished screw heads.

Solid Rate Results

In 2015, Rolex introduced stricter regulations for all its models. In addition to chronometer certification from the independent Swiss testing agency COSC, which tests the movement, Rolex watchmakers regulate the cased movement to even more precise values: the rate may deviate no more than between -2 and +2 seconds per day. A specially designed system that simulates actual wearing conditions is used.

Our test watch easily achieved these values on the timing machine. The average deviation measured at only -0.7 seconds per day, and the greatest deviation was only 4 seconds. When worn on the wrist, the watch showed only slight gains or losses, so on average, this resulted in virtually no deviation.

Thanks to its high degree of wearing comfort, the Swiss made replica Rolex Deepsea D-Blue watches works as an excellent watch for daily wear, which is rather unexpected for such an extreme model. More consistent proportions and the higher power reserve may inspire you to dive into greater adventures.

A few months ago, it finally happened: I got “the call” from my Rolex dealer that I could pick up one of the store’s very last perfect replica Rolex Daytona 116500LN watches with a white dial. By the way, while we’re on the subject of the dial, what is up with everyone referring to this model as the “Panda”? Has anyone ever seen a panda bear with rings around its eyes instead of solid black circles? I’m curious to hear your thoughts about that in the comments below!

Anyway, for obvious reasons, I consider myself very lucky to have received the outgoing model shortly before its official discontinuation. I could go over the reasons why I like it more, but I actually found that Ben’s arguments in this Sunday Morning Showdown article summed my feelings up perfectly! I will say, though, that some aspects of the updated model do still make it a fantastic chronograph, and I will only truly make a judgment once I’ve physically handled the 126500LN.

I’ve owned my 116500LN since July. Here are what I believe to be “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

Rolex Daytona 116500LN — The good

For the sake of starting the article on a positive note (but to also stay true to the title of the 1966 western starring Clint Eastwood), let’s start with the good. It will come as no surprise to you that this section is the easiest to write as this white-dial high quality Rolex Daytona replica watches in steel truly is, hype aside, a great watch. I will admit that I was quite excited when I finally got notified that I could pick it up. However, after wearing the watch for a few hours, that initial excitement of finally owning a Daytona subsided remarkably quickly. I’m including this in “The Good” section because I’m excited about this watch in a different way.

With my 16.5cm wrist size, the Daytona’s 38.5mm case diameter (how Rolex gets away with calling it 40mm is quite baffling!) and 12mm thickness hit the sweet spot. It feels remarkably similar to the Speedmaster Professional because, despite the Speedy having a 42mm diameter thanks to its crown guards, its lug-to-lug is only 0.6mm longer, and the case is 1.2mm thicker compared to the top Rolex Daytona copy watches. The case is different from many other iconic references within Rolex’s Professional lineup. The rounded, polished case more closely resembles that of a Datejust, Day-Date, or Sky-Dweller than that of a more brutalist Submariner, GMT-Master II, or Explorer II.

Dial-side delights

Moving on to the dial, I very much enjoy how the colors create an optical illusion that the watch is larger than it is. This becomes even more noticeable when it’s next to a black-dial model. While the predecessor, ref. 116520, is a good-looking watch as well, to me, the white and silver dial looked a bit “soft”.

Both elements are extremely well engineered and strike the perfect balance between heft and elegance. Additionally, the clasp features an Easylink extension. This proved to be a very welcome feature during the blisteringly hot, humid days this past summer. I would adjust the bracelet multiple times a day, especially when entering and leaving air-conditioned environments.

Rolex Daytona 116500LN — The bad

What could one consider “bad” about one of the most coveted and iconic Swiss made Rolex super clone watches in the industry? Well, as fine of a watch as the Rolex Daytona is, it does have some shortcomings that I can’t neglect to mention. To start, let’s talk about the obscure sub-dial placement. For the record, I don’t mind non-centered sub-dials in general. Looking at two-register chronographs, the lower sub-dial placement of the Patek Philippe 5172 creates a beautiful balance with the “Patek Philippe Geneve” text at 12 o’clock. Ditto for the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 chronograph.

On the Daytona, however, there’s something that looks slightly off. The sub-dials are only very slightly raised, which almost makes it seem as if the positioning was a compromise. Luckily, this doesn’t bother me as much as it does some, but I do not understand why Rolex made this design choice when designing the 4130 caliber in this reference. Rolex’s first automatic chronograph, the online replica Rolex Daytona ref. 16520 watches, famously used a modified Zenith El Primero movement. On that reference, the sub-dials were dead center, which, from a design standpoint, looks superior to me.

A matter of price

My next point is perhaps a little controversial, and many will probably disagree with me (I’m happy to be roasted down below!), but we have to talk about the price. I don’t want to sound ungrateful that I had the privilege to pick one of these up at retail, but I do find the price to be somewhat steep. One could argue this to be the case for all Rolex models, but the “Rolex tax,” if you will, is strong with this one. I do believe one can find decent value within the Rolex catalog with the Oyster Perpetual line. But if we’re comparing the Daytona to other iconic chronographs by different brands, it is superlatively (I couldn’t resist) expensive.

At CHF 14,100 for this outgoing model (CHF 14,300 for the successor), it did sting a little. Sure, it trades for more on the street, but if I decide to keep it for good, that money won’t do much for me. I still paid the full retail price. In comparison, the current Omega Speedmaster Professional (Hesalite) and Breitling Navitimer 43 cost CHF 6,600 and CHF 8,750, respectively. In my opinion, these represent greater value.

On the pushers

I’ll be honest that I have mixed feelings on the final point — the screw-down pushers. Like many of you here, I am a nut for chronographs. You can read an article I wrote about why I think that chronographs are the best subcategory of cheap Rolex fake watches here. Not only do I love the look of them, but I’m also constantly using the chronograph function. Timing things using the watch I’m wearing has become a bit of a habit. I’ll use it for measuring all kinds of things — cooking, the length of a drive or a hike, and my children’s screen time, just to mention a few.

Having to unscrew the pushers to use the chronograph caught me off guard several times, especially when I don’t have both hands available, like when I’m riding my motorcycle. I’m aware that I’m sounding nitpicky, but we’re buying little mechanical objects for large amounts of money. Is it unreasonable to be a bit nitpicky? I’m on the fence about just always leaving them unscrewed as that defeats the purpose of the screw-down feature. Rolex states the watch is still water resistant if the pushers are unscrewed and that having them screwed down is to prevent accidental use while the luxury Rolex replica watches is submerged. I will say that I appreciate the idea of screwing them down and do also enjoy the look.

Owning a Rolex Daytona — The ugly

To clarify, I’m using “the ugly” to sum up points that have nothing to do with the physical watch but about owning it instead. I bought this watch knowing that I would keep it as I had tried it on several times before, so none of “the ugly” caught me off guard per se. But I must mention that this is the only watch I’ve owned that causes people on the street or in various establishments to directly ask me how much I paid and if I would sell it. I’ve only owned it for a few months, but I’ve been wearing it nonstop. It has already happened a few times in person and many times on watch-related social media. It shows that the watch stands out, which means I will have to consider where and when I plan to wear it.

Other frequently asked questions are the classic, “Where did you get it?” “How long did you wait?” and “What was your purchase history?” If I’ve never met the person before, I really don’t feel like answering those questions. They are, however, the result of the Daytona’s hype and market value versus retail value (although, thankfully, this has calmed down compared to a few years ago). You’ve heard my thoughts on the high retail price, so you won’t be surprised that I’m throwing the Swiss online fake Rolex Daytona watches‘ market value into “the ugly” section too. As of right now, this white-dial version has a street value of roughly double its retail, which is every bit as absurd as it sounds. When searching Chrono24 for what you can get for almost CHF 30,000 from brands like Patek Philippe or A. Lange & Söhne, this fact becomes even more absurd.

Final thoughts

However, the incident light plays a major role on our perception of color and as always, there are slight differences among the Pepsi bezels.

Both materials forming the track condense and shrink during the sintering process and must be machined with diamond tools to the exact measurements. To ensure that the numerals remain perfectly legible, the entire ring is coated with platinum using a PVD process and then carefully polished to leave the precious metal behind in the recessed dots and numerals. Both processes have been patented by Rolex. In addition to its scratch resistance, the ceramic bezels have the additional advantage of being UV resistant and do not fade.

Extended Power Reserve

As with the Pepsi, the new time-zone Caliber 3285 is used in the updated Batman. Unchanged are the well-known features of Rolex movements: an extremely sturdy balance bridge (instead of a one-sided balance cock), the free-sprung hairspring with overcoil made of a paramagnetic niobium-zirconium alloy, and its fine regulator with its Microstella weights on the balance wheel. The movement can be regulated using a special tool without removing the movement from the case.

Rolex improved the caliber in the core virtues of accuracy, longevity and robustness. Decorations include a sunburst finish. Hand engraving is not present nor was it expected. The new movement can be easily identified by a small detail on the dial: a tiny Rolex crown is inserted between the two words “Swiss Made.”

As always at Rolex, the official chronometer certificate from the Swiss testing agency COSC confirms the high level of precision at various temperatures and positions. The company’s own in-house standards specify an even stricter adjustment of the daily average between -2 and +2 seconds per day. On the timing machine, our test watch met these higher expectations and showed an average deviation of only -0.5 seconds. All six positions remained between -2 and +2 seconds and the greatest positional deviation was only 4 seconds. There was a manageable drop in amplitude between the vertical and horizontal positions.

At that time, a two-color bezel made of ceramic appeared to be technically impossible, and the color red could not be created satisfactorily in this high-tech material. The 24-hour hand is best used for home time or, for pilots, the all-important GMT, with the hour hand showing local time. The GMT-Master II is known for this function for travelers. And thanks to the nickel-phosphorous alloy used, the escapement is no longer affected by magnetic fields.

A transparent caseback would be a welcome addition. And it would be great if Rolex could deliver orders to everyone who says, “I’ll have a Pepsi, please!”
